Microneedling or CIT- Collagen Induction Therapy is a non-laser skin resurfacing to make your skin look plump, smooth, and glowing. Microneedling works by causing tiny needle puncture the top layer of your skin so that it can trigger collagen and elastin production.
The most commonly reported complications of microneedling are redness, swelling, peeling and sunburn appearance for 24 hours.

Some of the rare complications of microneedling include infections, bruising, the break out of a cold sore.  Therefore Retin-A, Chemical peels, aspirin, and NSAID should be avoided for a week. If you suffer from cold sore consider taking Prophylactic Valtrex.
