Wrinkles & Fine Lines

Wrinkles and Fine Lines treatment with UltraClear

What are the causes of fine line and wrinkles?

Irrespective of the causes of these wrinkles and lines now we can treat, correct and prevent using UltraClear Laser. There are many factors that contribute to the onset of fine lines leading to severe wrinkles. The following are the most significant causes of Aging. Wrinkles are a by-product of the aging process. With age, skin cells divide slower, and the inner layer of the skin, called the dermis, begins to thin. The network of elastin and collagen fibers, which support the outer layer, loosens and unravels, which results in depressions on the surface. With aging, skin also loses its elasticity, becomes more fragile and is less able to retain moisture. In addition, oil-secreting glands are less efficient which makes the skin drier and appear more wrinkled. All of these factors contribute to the development of wrinkles.

Facial muscle contractions

Lines between the eyebrows (frown lines) and lines jutting from the corner of the eyes (crow’s feet) are believed to develop because of the underlying muscle contractions. Smiling, frowning, squinting, and other habitual facial expressions cause these wrinkles to become more prominent. Over time, the expressions coupled with gravity contribute to the formation of jowls and drooping eyelids.

Sun damage

Excessive exposure to ultraviolet radiation (too much sun) can result in premature aging of the skin. Premature aging of the skin is called photoaging. The ultraviolet sunrays that cause photoaging damage collagen fibers (the major structural proteins in the skin) and elastin fibers (the protein that causes skin to stretch). Both of these fibers are important components of the skin’s connective tissue and without them, the skin loses its strength and flexibility, leading to wrinkles. Now we can address these and treat with our new novel laser called UltraClear Laser.

Healthy skin perpetually regenerates. While old collagen is broken down and removed, new collagen is being produced and installed. Researchers have found that smoke causes a marked reduction in the production of new collagen. A lack of new collagen results in the development of wrinkles. This may also be due to the lack of blood supply to the skin caused by smoking

Wrinkle Treatments

CO2RE laser resurfacing

CO2RE is a fractional therapy CO2 laser for skin resurfacing. Your skin is treated with a matrix of laser light points that vary in intensity, depending on your skin type and desired treatment results. The result is a treatment that is fast, more comfortable and requires less downtime than traditional resurfacing – enabling you to get back to your daily routine much quicker. Now Ultraclear Laser can reduce all the side effects of CO2 laser and offer better results with less pain and less downtime.

Injected under the skin’s surface, dermal fillers can be used to plump lips, soften fine lines and wrinkles, and fill volume loss. We offer both semi-permanent and temporary fillers to treat deep wrinkles, frown lines, smile lines, vertical lip lines, marionette lines, hollowed cheeks and eyes, declining lip volume, and acne scars. Dr. Shanthala often combines fillers and lasers such as UltraClear on the same day.

These solutions are injected into the skin cause certain nerves to no longer tell muscles to contract, thus smoothing the skin.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

A cutting-edge form of regenerative medicine using the body’s own plasma to restore collagen in the skin. Dr. Shanthala has a passion for Regenerative aesthetics and speaks at several international conferences on how to combine Exosomes or PRP with EBDS to obtain optimal results.

A superficial cosmetic procedure that can improve skin texture, blackheads and whiteheads, and surface hyperpigmentation often done before any major laser resurfacing to enhance the results.

Chemical peels

A mild acid which chemically exfoliates the top layer of skin. This exfoliation signals the cells inside the skin to produce more rapidly, which can help skin turnover faster and prevent pores from clogging.

PDO threads

A PDO Thread lift is a type of face lift that is often referred to as the “lunch hour lift”. Absorbable threads stimulate collagen growth in the skin, thus creating a lifted appearance.
