What is skin tightening?
Loss of collagen and elastin can be mainly due to sun damage, other causes such as aging, gravity, lead to laxity of the skin. Stimulating new collagen in the skin and dermal remodeling results in skin tightening. The degree of skin tightening depends upon the heat delivery modes such as Ultherapy, Radiofrequency or lasers. Other non-heat based devices for stimulating the new collagen are micro needling, PDO threads, Instalift, PRP injection, Sculptra, Radiesse, Bellafiill. Most of the fillers are biostimulators and helps with new collagen formation.
