What is CO2 Laser Resurfacing?
CO2RE resurfacing is an advanced skin rejuvenation procedure that improves skin texture, reduces wrinkles, and stimulates collagen production. It is a powerful treatment for those looking to reverse signs of aging, minimize scars, and achieve a smoother, more youthful complexion. Unlike common misconceptions, CO2 laser does NOT thin the skin—it actually boosts collagen production, leading to firmer, healthier skin.
How Does CO2 Laser Resurfacing Work?
CO2 laser works by emitting a high-energy beam of light that penetrates the skin. The water in skin cells absorbs the laser energy, causing controlled micro-damage that triggers the body’s natural healing process. This results in: Skin resurfacing by removing damaged outer layers. Collagen regeneration for firmer, plumper skin. Reduction of wrinkles, fine lines, scars, and pigmentation.
What Can CO2 Laser Treat?
CO2 laser resurfacing is highly effective for: Fine lines & wrinkles of face & neck & other parts of the body. (around the eyes, mouth, forehead) Acne scars & surgical scars, Hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and age spots. Uneven skin texture & enlarged pores. Loose skin & loss of elasticity.

Types of CO2 Laser Resurfacing
1. Fully Ablative CO2 Laser (No Longer Used in Our Office) Removes the entire outer skin layer. Requires anesthesia due to pain and downtime. Longer recovery period with higher risk of complications. More dramatic results, but not commonly performed due to the extensive healing process.
2. Fractional CO2 Laser, delivers targeted columns of laser energy, leaving surrounding tissue intact. Faster healing, fewer side effects, and safer for various skin types. More effective for fine lines, scars, and texture improvement. Performed with numbing cream and cooling devices for maximum comfort.
