Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) or Vampire Facial in Boston

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments are based on the regenerative properties of our body and performed by our board-certified physician only.  The activated platelet-rich plasma releases several growth factors that upregulate cytokines and stimulate stem cells to make new collagen and tissue. PRP uses plasma from your blood which is injected back into the tissues of your skin and sometimes applied topically as well.

Note that EXOSOMES therapy is different from PRP where Exosomes are loaded with several hundreds of growth factors and proteins. Dr. Shanthala has given dozens of lectures at several international conferences regarding wound healing and scar remodeling effects of Exosomes and energy-based procedures. To learn more about Exosomes read our publication in JDD.
